Simple Recipes using natural ingredients are the idea at the heart of the Minimalist Cooking books. These books are not, however, just hastily thrown together collections of recipes. They are both designed to guide the person who wants to improve their overall cooking skills by providing a foundation of both techniques and recipes that can be built on during an entire lifetime.
Both books start with an introductory essay and then are broken down into sections consisting of similar types of dishes. The sections were chosen to give the cook a well rounded repetoire and to incorporate as many different techniques as possible.

There are a couple of recipes from the books on this site. They will be changed from time to time so it is worth checking back. It is worth noting that the Lasagne recipe currently featured is the most complicated recipe that appears in either book.
The author, Meg Wolfe, is very much into minimalism as a philosophy that can be applied to just about any area of life. The minimalist cookbooks represent her attempt to combine two of the things that she is most passionate about, minimalism and cooking.
